Don’t interpret Scripture

Little Children,

Don’t interpret Scripture. There is really no need. The high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity precisely chose each and every literal word of His Word. So don’t spiritualize or allegorize or twist it into compliance with any preconceived notion of men. ”The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times” (Psalms 12:6). “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth” (Psalms 33:6).

But always ask yourself: “To whom is it written and what does it say?”

And if you still have questions, trust His Spirit: ”But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26).

Your Father
